Moon Base 1

"Beep, Beep" "Report," says Prime.

"I'm afraid I've got some bad news Optimus. It seems that all the Decepticons are rendez-vous-ing back to Cyperbtron. Something is going down and whatever it is, its going to be big," reports Punch-CounterPunch, the autobot spy. He had penetrated the Decepticons base and was now in the middle of their entire army.

"Good job Punch. See if you can find anything else out, Prime out."

"Prime, my transistors are giving me a weird feeling. The Decept-a-creeps are planning something," said Ironhide.

"I know Ironhide. Prepare to recall all forces to Moon Base 1."

"But that will leave everything open. Earth and Moon Base 2 will be sitting targets," said Sideswipe.

"I know Sideswipe, but the only way we can defeat the whole Decepticon army is to have our army ready to fight."

Earth

"Sure has been boring around here recently. Seems like the Decepticons just up and left, "said HotRod, the young, happy-go-lucky autobot.

"Better to be slow than to be fighting, kid," said Kup. "Experience Lad, you'll come to appreciate the times when you can relax."

"Not me, I'd rather be stomping some Decepts tails any day," Brawn interrupted.

"Quiet down everyone, I got one bad transmission coming in." With that, Blaster transformed and broadcast the transmission for everyone.

"All autobot forces are to report back to MoonBase 1. Abandon your post and return." came from Blaster in the southern accent of Ironhide.

"Something big must be going down to recall all our forces," Springer commented.

"Big or not, we have our orders. Metroplex transform and return to Moon Base 1," said Ultra Magnus.

"AS YOU COMMAND," came the thundering voice of Metroplex. Seconds later the heart of the autobots earth base transformed into its robot mode and departed for Cybertron.

"The rest of you, to the ships!" ordered Ultra Magnus.

Cybertron

"Decepticons, our glory is at hand. In just 48 cyberhours, the galaxy shall be ours for the taking. No autobots shall ever try to stop us again," Galvatron announced defiantly."All hail, Galvatron!!" boomed the voices of the Decepticons.

"I gotta get word to Prime," said Punch in an ecstatic voice.

Moon Base I

"Transmission coming from Punch, Prime," said Prime's right had man, Bluestreak.

"Go ahead Punch," said Prime.

"You were right Prime, the Decepticons are planning an invasion. They are starting with Moon Base 2 in less than 48 hours. From there its on to the Moon Base 1 and then Earth."

"Good job Punch. Return to Moon Base I as soon as you can. Prime out. Sunstreaker, how many of our forces have arrived so far?"

"Jazz, Cliffjumper and the aerialbots have already arrived from Moon Base 2. Metroplex just got here and scanners detect the rest of the Earth forces on their way," replied Sunstreaker.

"Prepare the autobots when they get here. I wish to talk to them."

The autobots were assembled in front of Prime. Those less faint of heart had looks of doubt on their faces. Prime began to speak. "Autobots, you all know the seriousness of the coming battle. This could mean the end of the autobots or the liberation of Cybertron. In either case we must fight as hard as we can. The Decepticon attack will begin with the attack on Moon Base 2. I need a small squad to go to Moon Base 2 and prepare the self destruct sequence." At first no one stepped forward. Then Bumblebee, Hubcap, Windcharger, Outback and Pipes moved into the line light.

"We'll go Prime," Bumblebee said speaking for the group.

"You realize that survival chances are small," Prime said.

"I guess we can go out with a bang then," Windcharger said sarcastically.

"The shuttle is waiting for you. If you can get out then return here to help in the battle," Prime said.

"Good luck little buddy," Ironhide said. As they made their way to the shuttle, the autobots looked at them with a sense of pride.

Moon Base 2

"All the explosives are in place mate," Outback reported.

"Good, any sign of the Decepticons, yet, Windcharger," Bumblebee questioned.

"Not yet, wait long range scanners just picked up multiple targets. Looks like 25 in all," Windcharger replied.

"You know the plan boys. As soon as they land, we've got 5 microminutes to get out of here," Bumblebee informed everyone.

On the surface of the planet, the Constructicons, Predacons, Stunticons, the Insecticons, Snapdragon, TriggerHappy, Rumble, Frenzy, and 2 Sweeps made their initial scans for autobots before making their plans. Trigger Happy spoke, "Stunticons and Sweeps, make your way to the control room. Snapdragon and the Insecticons will begin searching the planet for autobots." With that the designated groups began doing their missions. The small band of autobots watched from a crevice in the surface of the moon. They were cut off from their ship by the Decepticons with 4 and 1/2 minutes left.

"What are we going to do," Bumblebee complained.

"I'll draw their fire while you guys make a run for the ship," Pipe said and before they could stop him he was up and running with guns blazing. The other autobots ran for the shuttle. Pipes' first couple of shots struck the Constructicons, not really inflicting any damage. The rest of the autobots were getting close to the shuttle when the Predacons spotted them. The Predacons quickly pounced on Hubcap and Outback as Bumblebee and Windcharger reached the shuttle.

"Let's get out of here," screamed Bumblebee. The shuttle was quickly up and heading to Moon Base 1. All they could do was watch as their comrades were ripped to shreds by the Predacons and Pipes was gunned down by the Constructicons and Triggerhappy. The Decepticons watched as the Autobots left. Then Triggerhappy received a broadcast from Motormaster.

"Its a trap!! The moon is set to self destruct," boomed Motormasters voice through the receiver.

"Decepticons, clear out!!" Triggerhappy ordered. Triggerhappy, Frenzy, Rumble, the Constructicons and the Predacons quickly took to the sky, heading for Cybertron as fast as they could. Snapdragon, the insecticons, the stunticons, and the sweeps were unable to make it out in time.

Moon Base 1

Prime and the rest of the autobots watched as one of Cybertron's moons was reduced to ashes.

"Any word from Bumblebee and the others", Prime asked.

"Reports at this time show the shuttle returning carrying only two life forms. A careful evaluation of the situation shows that the ratio of autobot deaths to Decepticons' was 1:5." Perceptor reported.

"In other words Perceptor?", Ultra Magnus requested.

"We didn't get that many of them" Springer explained.

"Correct Springer. I had wished for a larger reduction in the Decepticon forces for the cost of one of Cybertron's moons", Prime said.

Cybertron

"Our forces have returned Lord Galvatron", Cyclonus informed his leader.

"Where are the rest of you?", Galvatron asked as his battered forces returned.

"The autobots knew of our plans my Majesty. They had the moon set on self destruct when we arrived." Trigger Happy told his leader.

"Fools!!! The autobots now know our plan. Not a problem though. I have an alternate plan." Galvatron said as a sly smile came across his face.

Moon Base 1

"Prime, we have a transmission coming from Cybertron," Smokescreen said.

"What is it Galvatron," Prime asked.

"Prime, there has been much death today. I wish to have a conference with you to discuss peace treaties," Galvatron siad. "Meet me at the Cybertronian meeting hall."

"I will go Galvatron," Prime replied.

"But Prime..." Ironhide protested.

"You and Jetfire shall accompany me, Ironhide. This may be the only way to avoid a major battle. Jetfire transform and prepare for flight to Cybertron."

"You guys aren't going anywhere without me." Cliffjumper put in.

"You may come too Cliffjumper."

Cybertron's Meeting Hall

As Optimus Prime and his comrades entered the meeting hall, they saw Galvatron and his lieutenants: Cyclonus, Shockwave, and Soundwave.

"Welcome Prime, I hope these talks can help with this conflict." Galvatron said.

"As do I Galvatron." Prime replied.

As Prime began to take a seat, Galvatron gave a look to Cyclonus. Immediately following the walls behind Galvatron opened to reveal a squad of Decepticons. Astrotrain, Blitzwing, Scourge and the Combaticons stood with their guns aimed at the Autobots. "I am sorry that it has to end this way Prime. I believed that you would spot a trap this easy." Galvatron said.

As Galvatron finished his sentence, Jetfire grabbed the table and flipped it upright to provide protection for the Autobots. The Decepticons opened fire as the Autobots took cover.

"We're pinned down Prime," Jetfire remarked.

As the Autobots returned fire none of them saw the figure remove himself from within the shadows. Octane silently moved towards the autobots preparing to fire, and not miss. "Die autobot scum!!" he shouted just before his chest turned white and then spit large pieces of metal out. As his body fell to the floor, Mirage was standing right behind him.

"I couldn't let you walk right into a trap like this without some help Prime," he said. As he finished a barrage of decepticon fire hit his whole body. His body fell riddled with holes to the ground.

"NO!!!!!" Cliffjumper screamed as he lept from behind the table with his guns blazing. He landed his first few shots into Astrotrains chest, making short work of the metal armor of his body. As he got closer towards the decepticon death squad he lept at Galvatron, only to be caught in mid-air by the menacing hand of Shockwave. He was then pinned to the wall and had his mechanical brain sent clanging into the wall.

"We need a way out of here Jetfire", Prime yelled.

"Give me some cover," Jetfire exclaimed as he ran towards the wall. He ran right through and made a clear exit for the autobots. "Come on!!!" he screamed.

As Prime and Ironhide made their way out of the chamber, the decepticon fire continued. On his exit, Jetfire was skimmed by a shot in his leg.

"Transform and get us out of here!!" Prime ordered.

"Ahh!!! I can't. That last shot got me in the leg." Jetfire replied.

"Then we need to find a radio to transmit for reinforcments." Prime transformed and said, "Get in."

"Prime, Wheeljack's shop is about 10 cybermiles that way. I'm sure he has a radio." Ironhide said.

"Good let's get going." said Prime.

UPDATE 10/28

Moon Base 2

"I don't like this. The've been gone way to long. I'm going down there to find out what's up." Hot Rod said in his young, inexperienced way.

"You're going no where Hot Rod. Prime gave specific instructions for us to wait here for him. We don't want to give Galvatron any excuse to attack us." Ultra Magnus said in his authoritative voice.

"Well it looks like you may get you chance Hot Rod. I've got a transmission coming from Prime," reported Smokescreen.

"Autobots, Ironhide, Jetfire, and myself on stranded on Cybertron at Wheeljack's workshop. Send a rescue squad for us as soon as possible," Prime informed his faithful followers.

Cybertron

"I want you there before the autobots arrive. Make sure Prime meets his end, and don't bother coming back unless he does," Galvatron told his right hand man Cyclonus after having intercepted the transmission from Wheeljack's shop.

"I will do as you wish my lord," said Cyclonus and with that transformed and left along with Sixshot and the Constructicons.

Wheeljack's Workshop

"The autobots should arrive soon. How is your leg Jetfire?" questioned Prime.

"I'll live, but I won't be able to fly until Ratchet takes a look at it," he informed Prime.

"When I get my hands on that lying, cyber-scum Galvatron, I'm gonna ..." Ironhide said in angered voice.

"I know Ironhide. It's my fault. I should have know Galvatron would never compromise on something," Prime said with guilt.

"Someone's approaching. It could be the rescue squad. I'll go check," said Jetfire. When he got to the doors he pressed the button to take off the lock. As the doors opened, Jetfire was greeted by multiple shots from the Decepticon group. He was struck many times and finally fell, only after yelling to Prime and Ironhide. As Prime and Ironhide got there, they saw the formation of Devastator beginning and knew that they were in trouble. As soon as Devastator was formed he reached out and grabbed Ironhide, ripping his body into to many pieces. As his body fell to the ground, Prime watched in horror.

"Are you ready to meet Alpha Trion, Prime? I commend you on your ability to evade death this long, but your time has come," and with that Cyclonus and Sixshot unloaded all the energon in their weapons into Prime. As he fell to the ground, his body turning gray, Prime knew that the times ahead for the Autobots would be hard. Cyclonus reached forward and ripped Primes chest open and grabbed the Matrix from his chest.

"The ultimate power source of the Autobots. Now their end is at hand." Cyclonus exclaimed before transforming and flying off with his fellow Decepticons.

Autobot Shuttle

"There goes Cyclonus. Should we follow him?" questioned Bumblebee.

"No we need to get down and check on Prime and the others," said Ultra Magnus.

As the shuttle reached the ground, the destruction was evident. The body parts of Ironhide could be seen all over the ground. As they entered the workshop, they saw Jetfire lying on the ground, his body riddled with cracks and holes. Then the saw Prime, his body cold and grey, with his chest wide open.

"Ahh, Prime," Bumblebee said, his voice full of sorrow.

The Autobots moved Prime and Ironhides' body into the shuttle, and then went to get Jetfires. As they got near him, Brawn noticed Jetfire move his hand.

"He's still alive!!" said Brawn.

"Quickly get him into the shuttle and back to Moon Base 1 for repairs." said Ultra Magnus.

UPDATE 10/31

Moon Base 1

Ultra Magnus told the other autobots the terrible fate of their comrades. In the meantime, Ratchet and Wheeljack worked feverishly to repair Jetfire. They finally got his vital signs to stablize. Ratchet went to talk to Ultra Magnus and the others.

"Well he has stablized, but he will need time to completely repair him. I wish I knew what happened down there." Ratchet said.

"As do I Ratchet. As soon as he wakens, we can get some amswers. But until then we need to find the matrix and get it back." said Ultra Magnus.

"Well I can tell you where the matrix is right now; Decepticon headquarters." said Springer.

"And getting it back is not going to be easy. I bet they got that place seeled tighter than a cyber-squirrels asshole. Getting in there will be almost impossible." said Kup

"We're going to need a distraction, and I've got just the plan to do it." said Ultra Magnus.

UpDate 11/1

Cybertron, Decepticon HQ

The doors to the Decepticons HQ were heavily guarded by Devastator, Abominus, and Bruticus. It appeared as though they were expecting an attack. Since taking the matrix, Galvatron seemed to be on edge.

"Well it looks like our arrival was anticipated. It doesn't change anythinh though, we just need to distract them." said Windcharger.

"Why do we little guys always get the hard jobs?" complained Huffer.

"Me Grimlock no little guy, me huge."

"Quiet down, ok dinobots, you take out Devastator; Huffer,Gears, Powerglide, Cosmo, Beachcomber, Windcharger and I will go after Bruticus. That leaves Abominus for the Technobots." said Brawn, the leader of the distraction group.

As the group charged forward to attack, they did little damage, but that was not their main objective. They slowly began to retreat, making the Decepticons follow them.

"Looks like it's our turn." said Sideswipe.

"Let's get in there and tear some Decept-a-butt up." said Sunstreaker.

"That's not our goal Sunstreaker. We want to get in there and get the Matrix, then get out. Don't forget, the whole Decepticon army is in there and there's only five of us." said Ultra Magnus.

"Don't worry Magnus, we can take any Decepticons there are." said Hot Rod.

"Besides, I can makeit look like there's a whole lot more of us than that if I need to." said Hound.

As the group moved towards the door, the fighting out front continued. They busted down the door and then made there way into the heart of the decepticon base. Using a device made by Wheeljack, the Autobots traced the source of power the Matrix gave off. Making therir way through the corridors, they avoided any Decepticons they saw, trying to make sure they were not noticed. When they got to the chamber where the Matrix was being held, they saw it was heavily guarded by Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, Thrust, Dirge, and Ramjet.

"How do we get passed them with out being seen." said Hot Rod.

"I have just the thing." said Hound.

With that, Hound created a hologram of the Autobots at the other side of the room. He waited until the Decepticons saw them and then made the Autobot holograms run around the corner and disappear. The Decepticons ran after them.

"Now, quickly let's get in that room before they come back." said Ultra Magnus.

The Autobots quickly ran for the room and shut the door behind them. None of them noticed though that Ravge was not fooled by the holograms and had stayed hidden in the shadows and watched their every step. As the door shut Ravge ran off to find Galvatron.

Chamber Room

"There it is!!!" said Hot Rod.

"How do we get it out of the that containment shield though?" said Sunstreaker.

"Like this" said Hot Rod who punched through the shield and grabbed the Matrix. As he touched it, a faint glimmer was given off by the Matrix.

"Give it to me Hot Rod and I'll put it away." said Ultra Magnus. He took the Matrix and placed it in his chest. "Now let's get out of here."

The Autobots began to make there to the exit. Just as they came around the last turn, they saw that their exit was blocked. Standing in their way was Ravavge, Rumble, Frenzy, Ramjet, Dirge, and the Predicons. They stood waiting for the Autobots.

"Autobots take cover." said Ultra Magnus.

Before he could get down, Hound was hit by multiple shots from the Decepticons, leaving his lifeless body to fall to the ground. The Decepticons quickly had the Autobots pinned down, leaving them no exit.

"We need back up. Moon Base 2 come in. Send in the back up." said Ultra Magnus.

"I hope we can hold out that long." said Sideswipe.

"You kidding, there's only like 10 of them and there's still four of us. We can take 'em" said Sunstreaker.

After about 10 minutes there was a low rumble outside. The Decepticons stopped firing and turn to see Omega Supreme standing ready to fire. The first shot hit Dirge leaving a 3-foot whole in his body. The Decepticons scattered trying to flee the guns of Omega. While they were in running the Autobots made for the exit. When they reached Omega, Ultra Magnus told him to transform. The Autobots got in and Omega left for Moon Base 2. When they arrived they met with the distraction group, except Gears and Cosmos were missing. Brawn told Ultra Magnus that they didn't make it. Ultra Magnus had the Autobots assemble so he could address them all.

"My fellow Autobots, the time has come for us to again bring peace to Cybertron. The final battle has begun and when the space-dust settles only one side will be controlling cybertron. We will be that side. Although some of us may not survive the coming battle our deaths' will be for the betterment of cybertron. We will begin our assault on Cybertron by striking the Decepticon outpost located on Cybertron. From there we will go after the heart of the Decepticon forces at the Headquarters. After that, liberation!!!"

A cheer came from the Autobots. And then preparations were made for the assault on Cybertron.

Decepticon Headquarters

"We had the Matrix in our base and they still got it. Idiots, all of you. You let them come in and take it right from under our noses. It's as if they have all their forces right here near Cybertron. It'a almost as though they know our every move." Then a notion hit Galvatron. "Search the base. We have a traitor among us."

Moon Base 2

"Ok, so we have our basic plans ready. Does every body know what they have to do?" asked Ultra Magnus.

"We have a shuttle aproaching. Scanners show no life forms on it." said Bluestreak.

"Let it dock, then Skids, Tracks, and Prowl go check it out." said Ultra Magnus.

As the shuttle docked there were no signs of life. Prowl opened the door, but still didn't see anything. As he approached the pilot seat he saw a hand on the chair. He spun the chair and saw Punch's head sitting on the chair and his hand on the arm rest.

"Get Ultra Magnus in here quick. We got some bad news." said Prowl.
